Humans close in on the habitats of grizzly bears and black bears, leaving destruction wherever they go, polluting rivers where grizzlies once fished and chopping down trees where black bears once climbed. The polar bears face a similar problem. The ice is refusing to come back at the end of summer and their home is slowly shrinking. Three cubs must unite and go in search of the mythical Last Great Wilderness, a place where it is said that a bear can walk for miles and not see a human once and the ice off the coast of the sea never melts, a place for black bears, grizzlies and polar bears alike. But first they must face dangers beyond compare; wide rivers with swift, dangerous currents, forest fires, and the dangerous Smoke Mountains.

Will they make it?
